Planning for Successful Mailing Lists

Address Hygiene Seminar December 4

WSU Mailing Services and the United States Postal Service (USPS) will present a class on the importance of good Address Hygiene on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in ITB 2025.  Learn how to maximize your postage dollars by ensuring your mail reaches your intended recipient. Did you know that an improperly addressed letter, if sent non-profit, will be disposed of by the USPS? First class letters may take two to three weeks for delivery or be returned to you undelivered if the addressee has moved since you acquired the address. The USPS has announced plans that, if approved by the USPS Board of Governors, will require that all non-profit mailers use mailing lists that have been certified to contain accurate delivery addresses and minimize the amount of undeliverable mail placed in the mailstream.

If you maintain mailing lists or are involved in developing printed communications for Washington State University, plan to attend this class and find out what you should know to receive the best value for your postage dollars.  Pre-registration is not required.  If you have any questions, please contact Becky Veliz at 5-2365 or Joy Rich at 5-2104.
