Certified Mail service provides the sender with a mailing receipt and a record of delivery at the office of address. No record is kept at the Post Office where the mailing is initiated. Certified mail is dispatched and handled as ordinary mail. Return receipt and restricted delivery service may be obtained for certified mail. Insurance is not provided.
