Custom Declarations for International Mail
The United States Postal Service has issued new requirements regarding custom declarations for international mail. Previously, one of two paper forms was required, but new regulations require that these forms be prepared electronically. Please go to webapps.usps.com/customsforms to choose and complete the correct custom form for your international mail.
Previous versions of PS Form 2976 (green and white) and PS Form 2976-A (white) returned one copy to you for your records. The electronic versions do not provide a copy—be sure to print copies for your records or save the PDFs. PS Form 2976-A is still a five-part form requiring the use of a clear semi-open envelope (PS Form 2976-E). PS Form 2976-E is available from Mailing Services here or 335-2104.
After attaching the customs declaration form to the package, please put a barcode on the package and place with your outgoing mail. Mailing Services will apply postage and deliver to the Post Office. For further assistance, contact Becky Veliz or Joy Rich at 335-2104.
WSU operates a full service mail center for university departments.
Services include free pick-up and delivery of all interdepartmental and U.S. mail, Monday through Friday, and on-campus student residence mail Monday through Saturday.
